This is a repaint for the Flight Replicas Spitfire V as a Mk.VB of the Royal Egyptian Air Force. Egypt operated 26 Spitfire Vs between 1943 and 1949; I chose this one because it was in the foreground of a blurry but reasonably good photo.
Most modeller references show these aircraft in variations of RAF Desert camouflage, but they clearly had light spinners and tail bands not used on desert schemes. Desert camo' for RAF fighters was formally discontinued in September 1944, which is not to say that everything changed at once.
I opted for desert camouflage in faded dark earth/mid-stone, but it could have been grey/green, or earth/green. REAF roundels & flashes were green & white, the letter 'C' was in a light colour. The serial number may have been ER602. If it is, it made a remarkable recovery after being hit by Allied anti-aircraft fire in North Africa on 22nd December 1942. The Arabic characters on the tail band are the last three digits of the serial - 602.
