INFORMATION
It had to happen sooner or later, it's always been like this.
Solar cycle number 25, which began in 2020, had already shown different characteristics from the previous ones, producing increasingly strong and frequent coronal mass ejections from our star.
These real energy bombs have created problems for infrastructures in orbit and on earth, knocking out GPS systems and radio communications and sowing global chaos. In addition, Arctic ice core studies have shown cyclical interactions between the sun and its planets with the earth.
So after very strong earthquakes, fractures in the ground and the simultaneous explosion of numerous volcanoes, our planet fell into a nuclear winter.
Temperatures have plummeted and sunlight is obscured by volcanic ash, while with strong winds, acid rain and electrostatic lightning, the survival of humanity is at risk and the necessary efforts are being made all over the world to try to restore hope.

FLIGHT PLAN
In the Canary Islands most of the roads are unusable, so with the Cessna 208 you will have to perform a series of missions to ensure support for the people.
We start from Lanzarote, to fly north over the smaller islands and return south and finally west, to touch all the other islands of the archipelago and end in La Palma.

GOALS
You will have to airdrop or deliver aid packs to the airport and monitor the status of active volcanoes by taking some photos.

INSTRUCTIONS
- You will have to fly visually under the clouds and use the VOR and ILS for navigation, the only radio aids left available, because air traffic control is no longer active.
- You must know how to configure the Garmin for this type of navigation, change frequencies and radials, checking distances with the DMEs.

INSTALLATION

! Use the latest updated official version of Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020.
! Download and install ALL FREE content and updates from Microsoft/Asobo, such as Word and Cities Updates, airports, scenery, aircraft, liveries, etc.

1. Unzip the .zip file wherever you want on your PC. In the main folder you will find:
    a.    the "oby1-bundle-operationphoenix" folder
    b.    the PDF file of the printable navigation log.

2. copy the "oby1-bundle-operationphoenix" folder to the "Community" folder of the Simulator or even better, activate it using MSFS Addon Linker.

3. Start the simulator, find the bundle in the "Activities" menu and then in "Custom Content".

INFORMAZIONI
Prima o poi doveva succedere, è sempre stato così.
Il ciclo solare numero 25, iniziato nel 2020, aveva già mostrato caratteristiche diverse dai precedenti, producendo sempre più forti e frequenti espulsioni di massa coronale dalla nostra stella.
Queste vere e proprie bombe di energia, hanno creato problemi alle infrastrutture in orbita e sulla terra, mettendo fuori uso i sistemi GPS, le comunicazioni radio e seminando il caos globale. Inoltre, gli studi sui carotaggi del ghiaccio artico, hanno evidenziato interazioni cicliche tra il sole ed i suoi pianeti con la terra.

Così dopo fortissimi terremoti, fratture del terreno e l'esplosione simultanea di numerosi vulcani, il nostro pianeta è caduto in un inverno nucleare. 
Le temperature sono precipitate e la luce del sole è oscurata dalle ceneri vulcaniche, mentre con forti venti, pioggia acida e fulmini elettrostatici, la sopravvivenza dell'umanità è a rischio ed in tutto il mondo si stanno operando gli sforzi necessari per cercare di ripristinare la speranza.

PIANO DI VOLO
Nelle Isole Canarie la maggior parte delle strade è inutilizzabile, per cui con il Cessna 208, dovrai eseguire una serie di missioni per garantire il supporto alle persone.
Si parte da Lanzarote, per volare verso Nord sulle isole più piccole e tornare verso Sud e infine verso Ovest, per toccare tutte le altre isole dell'arcipelago e terminare a La Palma.

OBIETTIVI
Dovrai lanciare in volo o consegnare in aeroporto le casse degli aiuti e monitorare lo stato dei vulcani attivi scattando alcune foto.

ISTRUZIONI
- Dovrai volare a vista sotto le nubi e utilizzare i VOR e ILS per la navigazione, le uniche radioassistenze rimaste disponibili, perchè il controllo del traffico aereo non è più attivo.
- Devi saper configurare il Garmin per questo tipo di navigazione, cambiare frequenze e radiali, controllando le distanze con i DME.

INSTALLAZIONE

! Utilizzare sempre l'ultima versione ufficiale aggiornata di Microsoft  Flight Simulator 2020.
! Scaricare ed installare sempre TUTTI i contenuti e gli aggiornamenti GRATUITI di Microsoft/Asobo, come i Word e Cities Update, aeroporti, scenari, aerei, livree, etc.

1.    Scompatta il file "Bundle Operation Phoenix.zip" dove vuoi nel tuo PC. 
Nella cartella principale troverai:
    a.    la cartella "oby1-bundle-operationphoenix"
    b.    il file PDF del registro di navigazione stampabile.
2.   copia la cartella "oby1-bundle-operationphoenix" nella cartella "Community" del     Simulatore o ancora meglio, attivala utilizzando MSFS Addon Linker.
3.   Avvia il simulatore, trovi il bundle nel menu "Attività" e poi in "Custom Content".
