DH-89 Dragon Rapide Cambrian Airways G-AJCL request by DM

DH.89A Dragon Rapide G-AJCL Cambrian Air Services Cardiff. G-AJCL C/No 6722 was built for the RAF (NF851) TOC 18 MU, Dumfries 22.4.44 and had a varied career being sold in 1948 to Butlins Ltd of London. In July 1949 it was registered to Allgood Mfg Ltd and operated by Cambrian Air Services Cardiff when the aircraft was named 'Flint' before passing on to BEA and later named 'Sir Henry lawrence' where it operated out of st Just (Lands End) where it served for a short while on the Channel Islands service.

There was a mock up outside a hotel at Speke airport Liverpool untill a few years ago, investigations uncovered more details of what it actually looked like, in Black and white photos, some show the Union Jack on the tail and also Welsh flag,
