This folder contains a repaint for the Noorduyn Norseman by BigRadials, in the colors of Noorduyn Norseman #165 43-5174. It was delivered to the USAAF as aircraft No. 43-5174 but at first kept at Noorduyn for 23 months for extensive flight tests. These tests included various float and landing gear configurations. Most were flown by Duncan McClaren. Sold as war surplus to South American Trading Corp., New York, NY. and registered as NC58409. Later sold to Compania Argentina De Aeronavigacion Dodero, Argentina. Ferried from DuPont Field, Wilmington, Delaware to Buenos Airies in late May 1946, arriving Argentina on June 29. Registered as LV-AAT on August 19. Three other aircraft (c/n 219, 341 and 798) also went to Argentina at this time. In August 1961 it was sold to C. Pepe. Two months later it was sold to P.V. Alonso and re-registered as LV-FES.
