FWIW: These are commonly known as the Senkaku Islands to the global community. There is even a global foundation about this. There a small MSFS group doing the Senkaku in good fidelity, and they will release these under their proper name!

AKA the Senkaku Islands AKA the Tiaoyutai Islands. Hmm, I wonder why you omitted those aliases and Japan and Taiwan's claims to the territory from your description; truly a great mystery🤣. BTW China didn't even claim sovereignty for the first time until the 1970s when the U.S. left the islands (which they had taken from Japan, not China), and China's only involvement with the islands in "ancient times" (a few hundred years ago) was to use them as *navigational markers!*

Please spare the flight sim community from your revisionist and divisive Sinocentric political propaganda. We can talk about these subjects without suppressing the very existence of alternative perspectives that disagree with us, or we could simply not talk about them at all. At the very least, leave Howard Hughes out of it 🙄

You are 100% correct, and we also refer to these as the Senkaku Islands in my country (and the global community)! Thank you for sharing the citations without being overbearing or political. It is a rare occurrence on the internet!
