A batch of RPN scripts to allow you to configure your hardware devices to control various Fenix Simulations A320 cockpit switches including:

FCU
EFIS
External lighting
ADIRS
ECAM
Fuel
Pressure
Anti-ice
Engine masters and mode
Tiller pedal disconnect
Transponder
Wipers

I have also included an example template for the Honeycomb Bravo which covers most of the FCU controls, including:

Push/pull actions for SPD, HDG, ALT, and VS
Rotary controls for SPD, HDG, ALT, and VS
LOC
APPR
AP1 and AP2

I plan to map many more of the available buttons and switches in the cockpit. If you'd like to help me by contributing to the project, you can find it on GitHub here.

Installation

Import the fnx320_scripts.xml file using the Scripting > Import scripts option in AAO.

You can then assign these to buttons as you can any other simulator event. I've included a screenshot from the AAO documentation demonstrating this above.

Hi there...I looked at the list of scripts you have mapped, and I see one each for AP1 & AP2. It's my understanding that there is another, separate command that maps the red AP disconnect button on the sidestick, which supposedly doesn't trigger the Master Caution when used. Do you know if this mapping actually exists, and if so, could it be added? Thanks!

I see there is a template for the Honeycomb Bravo, but not for the Alpha. I am trying to learn to create templates for the AAO --> Fenix but I am lost. It would be nice an Alpha template for the Fenix lights!

This script is fantastic and I was able to add everything I wanted. But I am still trying to figure out how to bind the clock, how can I add the keybind for elapse time and chrono?

I just followed their suggestion and used the in-game axis:

I haven't tried to use AAO but presumably you can map the axis in AAO to the relevant event axis.

how do I bind the FCU knob on the bravo to select ALT, VS, HDG, CRS, IAS, in order to then be able to adjust each w/ the knob on the right? Doesn't seem like that exists.. Thanks!

I've mapped these in the included bravo template however I changed CRS so it adjusts the baro since CRS is usually set in the MCDU.

For the tiller to work, make sure you have the PED DISC TILLER option enabled in the EFB.

Thank you! A good thing happened. Guys who was able to set up the control of the tiler separately? for realistic and comfortable steering. And is it possible to adjust EFISMODEPLAN or EFISNDZOOM simply by switching left, right or (up down) with one switch ? not like that each ex^ 10-20-40 each toggle switch one value

Hey, great work, there's already a lot of bindings.

Anyway, I'm having some funny bug with AAO. Even when using your template, it seems that the rotaries won't work. I tried creating a profile on my own, setting the combo with the selector button and two things seem to happen:

the controls are working, but as soon as I change the selector knob it stops working or it activates wrong assignments (example: with HDG selected, it changes the ALT values);
multiple controls get activated (example: with HDG selected, it changes the ALT, HDG and VS values all together).

That's kinda strange and I don't know if I'm missing something. Btw my Honeycomb is brand new and doing a calibration with Windows tool shows that the selector knob works as intended.

I have the same issue - I have reported it to LorbySI on the support forum but he doesn't think it's a bug. The work around is to cycle the left rotary from ALT to IAS and back at least once, then it all works perfectly.

Can I bind these functions to keyboard shortcuts instead? I would like to be able to control the lights and engine start using the keyboard. Is this possible with your script?

Yes, you can use a keyboard as well as joystick/MIDI buttons to trigger scripts.

One thing I cannot get to work is taxi and landing lights, I bound it to switches on my Alpha but they do not turn on. All other lights work fine with these scripts

Hey vito, I've just released a fix for the "EXT_LT_LANDING_BOTH" script. It should work for you now.

Taxi lights seem to be working for me - there are three states for the nose light so your taxi light switch should be using "EXT_LT_NOSE_TAXI" and "EXT_LT_NOSE_OFF"

Once imported these scripts are available to be assigned to any hardware button in the same way as you can assign events to buttons in AAO. I've included a screenshot of the relevant page from the AAO docs to give you an idea. If you need support using AAO I'd suggest using their forum:

It is AAO that I am having issues with,. I would like to know if I could get it to work before I purchase it, but cannot find any real good tutorials on it. I have worked with finnicky remapping software before, and am worried I will not get it to work.

I first got started with AAO by following this guide for Aerosoft's CRJ - it gives you any idea of how to assign buttons and some basic scripting.

i tried the demo, and it slowed my brand new overpowered pc down the moment I opened the assign buttons window... Is this because the demo bugged out and timed out before I could use it?

Indeed, I send in a support ticket actually, and got a response within hours. Apparently this happens if you have the mouse and keyboard not blacklisted. I suspect they just have too many possible inputs. But ti is working now and I will purchase the software soon.

There are other templates and scripts available, and these scripts will work with those templates.

These scripts are not for a specific device. I've included a template for the Bravo as an example but you should be able to map the scripts to any device in AAO.
