Chelatna Lake Lodge is located one-hundred scenic miles northwest of Anchorage, less than an hour's flight away. The fishing lodges are accessible only by airplane (float or GA); there are no roads.
This scenery brings to life an absolutely stunning private resort located on the southern end of the Chelatna lake about 30 miles south of the Denali range. Sadly left out by MSFS because the location on Bing maps is barren. The video link included shows what Chelatna Lake Lodge is really like!
Custom lodges, boats, outbuildings, wildlife and animations bring this scenery to life and was built from scratch and was host to the Bush League Airline 'end of mission' celebration this weekend. I must really get the cleaners in to clean up their mess !
It is worth waiting by the lake to see the display that happens every night between 18:30-20:00 local time, it would be the highlight of my trip should I ever get the opportunity to see it in real life.
3rd party libraries have been used to populate the resort and the nightly display is provided by support from PuffinFlight and ThealX. Please refer to to the dependencies
I have used a few assets from the Tatitna airstrip scenery mod I've also posted and would recommend including that scenery in your community folder to fully enjoy the Chelatna Lake Lodge scenery
v1.1 - minor corrections to terrain and models and the Duck 'windsock' is now operational. Note Donald faces into the wind like any normal duck does and yes I've called him Donald.
I really like this strip; I also like the rainy pass and tatitna airstrips. as I have been to them many times IRL.
Thanks for all you do to help improve the sim.

The best Alaskan scenery out there, to date. I made a video, to highlight, your excellent workmanship and attention, to detail. However, I was not able to find the fireworks, at the stated time, which direction, should I be looking in? https://youtu.be/3y-GPCQSkmg

with the original version it was 18:30-20:00. With the version released today it's from 16:00-23:00 local time to cover more of the year as the local dusk time changes. Just look out over the lake they are very big so easily seen

Another great location, Kev! This one has been on my list of strips to do for quite a while, but obviously you beat me to it. 😁 Luckily (and unluckily) Alaska is chocked full of unlisted strips to do.
I did notice some stuttering when flying around the strip, which I have been able to reproduce every flight there. It only seems to happen when moving kinda fast. My first thought was maybe a LOD on one of the object libraries, but I havent had a chance to go back and look yet. Just thought I'd mention it up!

Thanks for the feedback, I haven't seen any performance hit but there are a lot of models in the scenery so it might impact some systems. Keep in touch if you start looking at other locations because I would hate to duplicate locations when there are thousands of them in Alaska. The fireworks animation has a very large LOD cube around it so it is visible from a long way off, I wonder if that has an effect even when the animation isn't triggered?

If I remove the "scenery" folder (to save space), will the rest of the airstrip still appear correctly?
it might, but I suspect the whole area will be full of missing textures that will look like pink chessboards. If you want to see what Bing thinks is there use the co-ordinates

Thank you! I was just thinking about this area and why it isn't better represented in MSFS, thank you for the hard work.
