WINDANG (LAKE ILLAWARRA) BRIDGE
Windang Bridge is a dual lane concrete bridge built in 1972 and located near the entrance to Lake Illawarra on the south coast
of New South Wales, Australia, about 8 kilometers (5 miles) from Shellharbour airport (YSHL).
Co-ordinates 34.535555 S 150.8675 E
I discovered (after WU7) that when photogrammetry is turned ON there is no bridge where the Windang bridge should be although
animated vehicular traffic continues from one side to the other over the water.
I then decided to create my own bridge using Blender using photographs of the real bridge.
The included package contains the bridge as well as some marine navigation beacons nearby at the entrance to Lake Illawarra
although being small they will be unseen unless your aircraft is within about 2km (1.6 miles) of them.
Acknowledgements go to 'rhumbaflappy' (Dick) for helping me develop a 'non existing airport' to allow placement of an 'apron'.
No other scenery packages are required, simply drop the folder (Windang_Bridge) into your Community folder.
NOTE that the bridge was developed for use with photogrammetry turned ON and while it will appear with photogrammetry turned
off the the visual will not be as good as the ground altitude is lower and therefore the ends of the bridge will appear above
the ground level. The Asobo default bridge is displayed when photogrammetry is OFF but it will be not interfere with this
bridge.
Also if and when there is an MSFS update released which includes the missing bridge this should not interfere with my bridge
which will continue to be displayed. However the 'atitude' of the animated traffic may also be modified and then the altitude
of my bridge may need altering which I will do as a modification if I notice or am advised.
INSTALLATION
Copy the folder Windang_Bridge to the Community Folder.
My scenery has been tested on MSFS2020 version 1.29.28.0 (SU11).
This is my first published freeware. Please leave a comment if you have any concerns.

Thank you, mate.
The lack of the Windang Bridge always bothered me! I typically fly out of my local YSHL!

Looks great.....YSHL is my home paddock as well...though I am out of the RL skies due to a health condition. I am a member of HARS, so am down there frequently.
Whilst the default YSHL, is a darn sight better after the AUS update...there is still the opportunity for someone to take it to the next level. Hint, hint.
