MSFS Bushtrip Raid Latecoere Africa
Embark on the Raid Latecoere air rally taking you from Toulouse (France) over Spain, Morocco, Western Sahara and Mauritania to Dakar (Senegal) on the Aeropostale pioneers' footsteps – or "wingsteps" should we say.
REAL FLIGHT ROUTES
The carefully prepared navlog and enroute spoken advices provide extensive information to guide you in your navigation.
REAL LIVE WEATHER
By default MSFS current realtime weather is activated for improved realism. You may however easily change for your own weather or any preset should current weather be not fair enough for flying VFR.
MICROSOFT TTS TECHNOLOGY
Make sure you use AZURE ATC text-to-speech sound setting and get back after each leg to the main menu before launching the next flight (MSFS issue).
CHOOSE YOUR FAVORITE AIRCRAFT
This bushtrip uses by default the stock Cessna 172 G1000 Asobo to ensure everyone has it and can fly the Raid. You can however easily change and fly the Raid aboard your favorite aircraft, see readme file for details.
FUEL AND PAYLOAD
Fuel menu and services are activated, allowing pilots to refuel their aircraft at stopover.
ALL INCLUSIVE
No other add-on/mod is required for flying this Bushtrip. Addons may be available to further improve enroute experience (e.g. LELL Sabadell airport, Casablanca landmarks, etc.)
L'Aeropostale in very short
By the end of WWI, entrepreneur Pierre-Georges Latécoère finds himself with a batch of Salmson aircraft his Toulouse factory just manufactured and the French army won’t purchase. He quickly has the idea of using these aircraft to establish air mail connection with French interests in Africa and South America.
This will become la Compagnie Générale Aéropostale, commonly referred to as l’Aéropostale, involving pioneer aviators like Jean Mermoz, Henri Guillaumet or Antoine de Saint-Exupéry among the most famous names. Check the pdf for more.
The Raid Latécoère air rally
Since 2007 the air-club Pierre-Georges Latécoère association organizes on a yearly basis the "Raid Latécoère" air rally, allowing up to some 50 crews of pilot-enthusiasts to fly VFR along the routes flown by Aéropostale pioneers in Africa and South America. This bushtrip follows a typical route as flown by the Raid (stopovers and route may vary from a yearly edition to another).

Nice mission(s). Thanks.
But I encountered a problem at WP TFY (Tarfaya), that has not been recognized and so didn't give the direction to next WP.
Further, approaching GMMH, the plane did cut its motor and impossible to repair and continue from water. I don't know if it has something to do with the Mission anyway.
So, now I don't know how to continue from GMMH to go to Dakar.

Well, it looks like you didn't monitor too carefully your engine parameters during the flight, did you ? that's how pilots end up drawing sheeps for a little guy in the middle of nowhere in the desert ;-)
You can re-fly this leg by deleting the last saved entry in the mission save directory and, this time, try checking your gauges on a more regular basis. Should the engine fail again, try gliding to your destination airport using the best glide speed of your aircraft, there you'll be able to repair.
Good luck !
Did you land and stop at the sand strip in Tarfaya ?

Very nice idea, thanks! I'd like to fly the route with a historic biplane like the Buecker or the Stearman, but I didn't find your instructions how to change the aircraft.
