Thanks for this! Just one issue. How do I get lights on the helipads? For some reason I don't have any lights.

Downloaded, and flew around to all of the hospital pads. I really enjoy this type of stuff. Not sure how far you're planning on going with this, but for the U.S., it'd be awesome to start with the the areas that are covered by FAA Heli Route charts ie; NY, WashDC, Baltimore, Detroit, Chicago, L.A., etc.... Even a reasonable generic hospital with a helipad would work in most situations, if there isn't photogrammetry in the area.
Anyhow, nice work, and of course 5 stars!

Thanks for the feedback. Yeah, goal is to start in the area and update some of the scenery but mostly just being able to have navigation points to fly to use with either the pilot assistant or the Navigation system is the basic goal of this file.

Hi, glad they are showing up on LNM, but there is no scenery showing! Been to all of them although there is heavy snow showing. Is there the usual scenery for hospitals or have I missed something? Thanks Martin

This initial release just adds the IACOs for navigation purposes using the generic scenery in the map for the helipads. PA41 is the only hospital that has some additional scenery around the helipad. Something happened with my SDK and I haven't been able to load in other objects. Next release will incorporate some Google 3D models to update some scenery as well. That's a big work in progress though. No ETA on that.

you can find a list of the real ICAOs from AirNav.com...i made a tool to compile that list and let me reference the airport locations listed and then uses google maps to fine tune the lat/lon to the actual helipad. it only works for US/VI/GU and some of canada.
it's not a complete list of all helipads, i've found, in my old hometown there is a helipad at the hospital as well as at the nearby city airport...neither listed on airnav...but it does give me 6900 helipads as a starting point and after working through the list halfway, have whittled down to 5500 real helipads and not just places helicopters have been allowed to land in some random field with no helipad or field lighting.

This started out as I was going to do a Virtual MedEvac Group on Steam but haven't pursued it much further. So that's why everything is under VM for Virtual Medevac.

Thanks very much for creating this scenery! Would you be interested in doing the same for New York City, Long Island and northern New Jersey?

Sure thing. Send me a list of coordinates you would like. I remember you, you were the other STAT Helicopter at KAGC before. Good seeing you around.
