Aachen Merzbrück is an airfield located near Aachen, Germany.There is no scheduled traffic at the airfield. It primarily features general aviation, and also has a large sailplane facility. The ADAC air rescue service provides the air rescue helicopter Christoph Europa 1 for urgent medical rescues and air ambulance duties here. A flight school and maintenance facility (Westflug Aachen) is located here since 1967

Hey, as a regions native I love this scenery but I think it could be a bit better by now 😊
I just checked on gmaps: there is now a fresh aerial photo of the airport available (50.82173190390372, 6.184869839911107) which shows the three (!) runways - the outermost is a grass runway, the middle one seems to be gravel.
However these runways are not closed - if I recall correctly they are used for glider and experimental aircraft operations (like eVTOL).
Maybe you can use the gmaps image as a base texture and rework the airport from there? Also it would be nice to have the helipad in middle of runway 07/25 as a "real" SU11 helipad 😊

Ich habe ein Problem: Es ist kein Tower mehr sichtbar. Du hast geschrieben, dass Du Deinen Tower in dem Update 2.0 entfernt hast, um keine Kollision mit dem Tower von Christ Pi Aviation (ADAC Europa 1) zu produzieren.
Ich habe sowohl Deinen Mod als auch den Mod von Chris Pi Aviation installiert. Leider ist gar kein Tower mehr sichtbar ( alles andere wird angezeigt)!. Die content.xml als auch der Rolling Cache wurden gelöscht / erneuert, ich nutze die aktuelle Version des MSFS. Alle Abhängigkeiten wurden beachtet / installiert. Bitte um Überprüfung und Deine Hilfe, vielen Dank.

Thank you for your update.
I have a problem: no tower is visible anymore. You wrote that you removed your tower in update 2.0 in order not to produce a collision with Christ Pi Aviation (ADAC Europa 1).
I installed both your mod and Chris Pi Aviation's mod. Unfortunately, no tower is visible anymore (everything else is displayed)!. The content.xml as well as the rolling cache have been deleted / renewed, I use the current version of MSFS. All dependencies have been respected/installed. Please check and your help, thank you.

In my sim, Chris Pi's Tower is clearly visible. Have you tried putting "zzz" in chris' addon folder name? "Example: zzz_chrispiaviation_lrzeuro1" according to other sources, this will prioritize chris' addon over mine.

If you're still interested in creating the correct new runway, which would be great, new aerial images of the new runway have just appeared at www.geoportal.nrw (It's the official data distributon site of the region North-Rhine-Westphalia). To view them, select "Geoviewer", then on the left click on "Geobasisdaten" -> "Luftbildinformationen" -> "Digitale Orthophotos" and select "DOP - Farbe". They do also offer elevation data which might be helpful.

We should probably make an agreement of some sort. I made the ADAC base without the detailed airfield surrounding it, you seem to have done it vice versa. Now we probably have to great addons that aren't compatible with each other.

Great, I was waiting for this! But you made the old layout, with Rwy 26/08. They changed it in 2020 to 25/07 and stretched the rundway to 1160 metres.
As you already got the buildings, it would be perfect if you could change it to the recent state. DM if you need some help with research.
Nevertheless, great work!

I will include this in the next update since google maps shows there is a new runway being made and soon Bing Maps will update it too! 😁
