Welcome to the Flight Plan Tour of some of the Neolithic monuments around Salisbury Plain ... and there are lots!
This plan was articulated to me by "Merlin" over on the RotorSimPilot Discord .. I just put the lines on a Map!
This 60nm flight is perfect for those of you who have the Bell47g but is always enjoyable in the H135, or any other chopper we get in future!! We found this flight is best enjoyed exploring each of the waypoints looking for the buried ancient monuments!
Make sure you have activated you UK World Update content in MSFS content manager for the best experience.
Starting at Thruxton (EGHO) we recommend a 14nm low, tree dodging adventure towards;
WP1 - East Kennet Long Barrow
WP2 - The Sanctuary
WP3 - West Kennet Long Barrow
WP4 - Silbury Hill
WP5 - West Kennet Avenue
WP6 - Avebury Stone Circle - Largest Neolithic stone circle in the world - They built a village in it!
WP7 - Windmill Hill
followed by a 15nm flight SSE following a line of villages towards Durrington and Amesbury;
WP8 - Durrington Walls
WP9 - Woodhenge
WP10 - Stonehedge
WP11 - Old Sarum
WP12 - Salisbury Cathedral
WP13 - Figsbury Ring
Head 77deg due east low and slow enjoy the scenery for 7.6 nm to;
WP14 - Danebury Hill
Drop into EGVP (Middle Wallop) to have a look around and show the Army Air Corp how you fly a helicopter before heading back to EGHO for a cup of tea!
I publish tours designed for sight seeing looking at some of the great natural and man made wonders as they are presented in MSFS. I am creating these with the Helicopter in mind but are all perfectly flyable in GA.

I'm guessing the actual Neolithic scultures (?) are a separate download? It's a great flight but all I actually saw was Stonehenge and Salisbury cathedral. Thanks for the upload, nice little flight

If you have the UK World Update active then you can see them.
Some are just mounds, whereas some you can see outlines and shapes of old settlements.
It is really cool to go hunting for them where you would normally have flown right by.
I find this flight like one of those 3d pictures you stare at ... once you get it you start seeing them everywhere!
